Goals for the week:

To begin a new unit in our Math.

To read and write 1-20 in numbers and words.

To count on from 10 to 20.

To identify tens and ones and use place value to count, add.

To review all short vowel sounds.

To read and write words containing  consonant clusters.

To read and write words that end with blends.

To identify and use descriptive words.

To review sounds and write the 5 below letters  (y,p,g,q,j)

To identify details in a story.

To retell a story using story elements.

To read some snowy stories as we get ready for Winter Weather!

To write a personal narrative about Winter fun.

To use adjectives and figurative language  to describe snow.

To self edit using our writing using our writer’s eye.

To listen and respond to more fiction winter stories.

To learn more about different genres including biographies.

To identify text features of Non- Fiction texts.

To compare and contrast Non- Fiction and Fiction texts.

To compare and contrast 2 Non-FIction texts

To use technology to research and report on a topic.

To identify and write about a topic using a topic sentence and facts in sequential order.

To learn about Martin Luther King Jr.

To discuss ways we can make the world a better place by being kind.

Homework :

Monday: Complete a square on your READO board

Tuesday: study math facts up to + 5 and choose an activity from your 100 chart (sent today)

Wednesday: Fluency Folder

Thursday:  study word study words.

Friday:  early dissmissal
