Goals for the week:

To practice counting coins.

To tell time to the hour, ½ hr, ¼ hr.

To continue working with patterns.

To work on problem solving.

To count by 2,5, 10.

To identify number and growing patterns.

To hear short and long vowel sounds.

To learn more about vowel pairs.

To practice r controlled vowels, -tch and –ng, -nk.

To know an open syllable ends in a single long vowel.

To continue to practice long vowel rules.

To know there are rules to follow when dividing a word into syllables.

To review all the phonics rules we have been learning so far.

Tuesday: Field trip today!!! Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking.  Apply sunscreen BEFORE coming to school.  Pack a completely disposable lunch.

Wednesday:  100 things about me book

Thursday: practice all word study words for Friday’s End of Year Project Read Test.

Thank you for all the kind notes and tokens of appreciation last week!  I just loved the door decorations and the great coffee cup from the class!  I am looking forward to many Lattes from Dunkin’ to get me through to June 20!!
