Spring Break


Mrs. Besselman’s Bulletin                 Spring Break week
Goals for the Week:
To read Spring stories:  The Talking Eggs, The Easter Egg Farm, The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick.
To review time and calendar skills.
To discuss characters and character traits.
To identify fantasy and realistic fiction.
To discuss and identify story elements
To review all phonics rules up to unit 23.
To continue to use our strategies to read.
To read with fluency and expression.
To identify short and long vowels.
To write poetry.
To write a “how to” on how to dye an egg.
To continue to work on problem solving.
To continue to add and subtract bigger numbers with and without regrouping.
To continue to build our fact fluency in math.

Homework:  
Monday:  Complete an activity on your READO or WRITE board.
Tuesday:  hard boil and egg and send to school on Wednesday to be dyed as part of our “How to” writing
Wednesday:  No Homework
Thursday:  Enjoy your long weekend!
Friday and Monday: No School
