Goals for the week:

To review all short vowel sounds.

To continue to work with addition and subtraction.

To use the count on, count back, take away strategies for subtraction.

To use the number bond strategy for addition and subtraction.

To have compare and contrast the Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly and the Old Lady who swallowed a Bat.

To read Halloween stories, the Big Pumpkin, The Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything, Creepy Carrots.

To compare and contrast characters across stories.

To identify character traits on the outside and on the inside.

To read fiction and nonfiction selections on the topic of Bats.
