Goals for the week:

To learn more about the characteristics of insects.

To continue to observe and compare the life cycles of our mealworms, wax worms and butterflies.

To review all short vowel sounds.

To continue to work with addition facts.

To read Stories about pumpkins.

To identify the difference between a fiction and non-fiction story.

To compare and contrast characters in a story.

To study characters in a fiction story and identify character traits.

To identify story elements while reading and retelling stories.

To identify beginning, middle, and end of a story.

To identify facts and opinions.

To write about pumpkins using adjectives.

To write about pumpkins, giving facts in sequential order.

To learn about the growth of a pumpkin and to put the stages of growth into order using transitions.

To learn how to be an upstander and stand up against bullying.

To watch Spookley the Pumpkin.

 

 

Homework :

Monday night: Please choose an activity on your READO board.

Tuesday:  Study math facts, review +0, +1,+2,   -0,-1,-2.  And practice +3

Wednesday night: Reading Fluency Folder

Thursday :  Study word study words using spelling menu
