Goals for the week:

To review all short and long vowel sounds.

To continue our measurement unit by measuring distance.

To read and write words with consonant blends in the final position.

To identify asking, telling, and exclamatory sentences.

To review all the phonics rules we have been learning so far.

To use period, question marks and exclamation points.

To identify and use descriptive words.

To continue to use capital letters and punctuation in sentences.

To self edit our writing using our writer’s eye.

To identify open syllables and long vowel sounds.

To continue our studying rocks and being geologists.

To practice reading with fluency.

To continue to work on Non-Fiction texts by reading about Theodor Seuss Geisel!

 

Homework :

Monday: bring your favorite Dr. Seuss book for our School wide Read Across America Day

Wear a hat for Cat in the Hat Day

Tuesday:  Character interview list will be sent home today.

Wear as many pockets as you can

Wednesday: Choose a character you like.

Dress for Wacky Wednesday

Thursday:  Get your costume together and practice answering your interview.

Wear silly socks

Friday:  Dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character, bring your interview questions and answers, and be ready to be interviewed!
