Goals for the
week:
To review all short vowel sounds.
To continue to work on addition problem solving.
To read and write words with the short vowel e.
To review words ending in ng and nk.
To review words with h brothers: ch,sh,th,wh.
To identify telling, asking, and exclamatory sentences
and the punctuation that goes with them.
To identify and use descriptive words.
To practice writing the diver letters.
To identify rhyming words in a story.
To identify details in a story.
To retell a story.
New word study words this week: unit 12 a and b: would,
could, should, well, men, get, tell, set , let, when, them, then.
Word study words to know: am, at, cat, sat, bat, fat, as,
has, can, an, man, had, van, sad, to, bad, rag, in big, is, did, if, it, his,

Tuesday: Reading Practice (please practice reading
stories through unit 11 and oral reading stories)
Wednesday: math

and math facts (+0,1,2,3) and subtraction (-0,1)
Friday: send in a holiday memory/picture/ or item that
has a story you can write about!

Request and Reminders
*Dress for the weather the children are outside for
recess for 30 min.! Emphasize to your
child that they should not be taking coats off at recess, it is now too cold!!!
